Chapter 6
In chapter 6, it starts off with explaining what security basics are. “Security” is a basic term that describes any method that protects physical assets, such as computers and servers, and logical assets, such as data, from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. I believe security being the best things for our belongings, federal documents, us, etc. Security is a major deal to everyone and in every country and state. Chapter 6 then talks about using encryption to protect against secrecy threats. To verify the contents of a private message, the recipient needs proof that it was not altered or intercepted during transit. The sender then needs proof that the message was sent without being compromised and was delivered to the intended recipient. I think this rule is very important considering there are scammers that can and will do anything and everything to get what they want. It further goes on to talk about protecting copyright materials using digital watermarks. Preventing identity theft is very helpful and will keep you protected from people who want to steal our identity.
